British photographer Gren Sowerby went on a safari to Kenya in September to capture wildlife.
He will never forget this trip thanks to one serious but friendly joker.
When the photographer noticed the lion and bent to the predator to capture it, he let out a powerful roar. Sowerby froze with fear.
But instead of attacking the intruder, the lion seemed to smile at the frightened photographer, reports the South West News Service.
“He roared: “I am the king of the jungle”, and then smiled at me, as if winking: “Ha-ha,scared?” – Sowerby shared his impressions.
According to him, the lion was at a distance of 10-15 meters and crossed the stream together with the lioness.
Sowerby said he was taken aback by the lion’s sheer size, but was really happy with the photos.
“The King of the Jungle is every photographer’s dream and I’m so glad I got the chance to capture him in such expressive poses,” he added.
Although lions are some of the most dangerous mammals on Earth, they often display a playful side to their character.
