Meet Bella.
She is an ordinary 11-year-old girl with a rare disease – Morquio syndrome. In short, Bella’s disease affects mobility, which steadily deteriorates over the years, while there is no way to restore it.
A few years ago, her family was told what they should be prepared for: after all, their daughter would not be able to move independently.
But the family did not give up.
It was then that George appeared in their house, forever changing Bella’s life.
Since then, Bella and George have become best friends.
He is her service dog, which helps the girl move around, giving her the opportunity to go anywhere.
In doing his job, George has become a sort of hero to Bella, and now they are almost inseparable.
One day, Bella decided that it was her faithful companion’s turn to get some rest.
She wanted to give him credit for doing so much for her.
Bella’s family has reached out to the popular website BarkPost, which organizes “Best Day for Your Dog” events.
After learning about Bella’s story, the site staff offered to organize a “better day” for George.
Bella had a lot of ideas in her head on how to have fun together.
The grateful girl wanted to show how much she appreciates everything that George does for her.
Therefore, at first, they ate a hamburger and played in the snow, which her faithful friend loves very much.
Thanks to George, Bella can move around without the help of a wheelchair.
She loves the freedom he gives her, along with the feeling of a great and strong friendship.
Here is what Bella says about him: “George is a cheerful and happy dog who is always ready to cheer me up. He is my best friend”.
