“What’s the point of such luxury at 80?” 😳 Fifteen years later, she finally agreed to the renovation! 😱😍 You’ll be amazed when you see the photos in this article! 👇👇👇
When she was first offered the idea of renovating her apartment, she always responded that she didn’t have much time left. At the time, she had just turned 50 and lost her husband.
Today, she still doesn’t know how many years she has left, but one thing is certain: she is making the most of life! Between strolls with friends and shopping trips, she never gets bored for a second!
For fifteen years, we tried to convince her, but she was determined to keep her home exactly as it had been when her husband was alive. Until one day, she finally agreed to the change!
We started by renovating the kitchen to make it brighter and more comfortable, then moved on to the bathroom. Little by little, she allowed us to do more—refreshing the ceilings, laying down new linoleum, buying new furniture, and replacing the wallpaper she had chosen with her husband.
Next, we plastered the walls and applied a primer before working on the finishing touches. After all this, we had to clear out the debris, check the wiring, and reposition the light switches for better convenience.
We also replaced the radiators, and everything went smoothly. Once the walls were dry, they were sanded, and the ceiling was painted and decorated with a finishing panel.
For the walls, we chose vinyl wallpaper. A feature wall with patterns adds a modern touch, while the other walls remain plain for a more elegant look.
And now, time for the most fun part—final touches! Grandma insisted on keeping her old cabinets as a memory of her husband, but she couldn’t resist getting a new sofa. One thing is certain: she will feel much more comfortable in her modernized home! 😊✨
