The floor creaked and wobbled in places, the walls were covered with worn-out wallpaper. The bathroom tiles were cracked, the pipes rusted, and the kitchen looked as if it hadn’t been touched in ages.
This couple wasn’t scared and decided to transform this ruin into a stylish and comfortable home.
The couple’s priority was to design a project. They wanted the home to be spacious, bright, and contemporary. To achieve this, they chose light colors and minimalist layouts. The renovation began with a complete demolition of the apartment.
With the help of friends, they removed the old wallpaper and stripped the floor. Once the walls were cleaned, they were smoothed out and painted white. On one of the living room walls, they added a decorative cement finish to give it a stylish touch.
The ceiling was refreshed with white paint, and recessed lighting was installed in the bedroom. The old parquet floor was replaced with light oak laminate, visually expanding the space.
The kitchen stands out with white minimalist cabinets, featuring smooth fronts. In contrast, a gray countertop and black metal handles were chosen. The appliances were integrated for a uniform look. The bathroom was tiled in ivory, with a large illuminated mirror and a suspended cabinet for storage.
A few months later, the apartment had completely changed: the light walls and open space create an airy, bright atmosphere.
