😨 Instead of disposing of or selling their old fridge, 😨 my neighbor decided to turn it into something very useful 🤔. After seeing what they created, I instantly wanted to try the same thing myself 😍. Take a look—you might find it useful too ⬇️⬇️.
Start by removing all unnecessary parts, keeping only the frame and the fridge door. Remove the freezer compartment and cut a hole to insert a tube for proper ventilation.
Make another hole at the bottom of the fridge and remove the fiberglass insulation.
Instead of completely removing the doors, cut a hole in each door to insert a glass pane. Secure the glass safely, add insulating foam, then use a blowtorch to fuse and solidify the foam.
Finally, cover the openings with a fine mesh to allow airflow while keeping insects out.
And here it is: a homemade solar dryer, perfect for drying vegetables, fruits, meats, fish, and much more. This simple yet effective method will transform your old fridge into an essential tool.
