It all started one Saturday afternoon, in the dusty attic of our grandparentsā house. My sister and I love hunting for old forgotten objects. That day, we came across several old wooden windows, a bit worn by time, but so full of character.
Instead of leaving them there or throwing them away, we had the idea to transform them. And honestly, it turned out to be one of our best ideas! These vintage windows became real treasures for decorating our homes.
We started by turning some of them into wall cabinets for the kitchen and bathroom.
A coat of paint, a few shelves insideā¦ and it was done. Then we imagined mirrors, picture frames, hanging plant holdersā¦ and even a decorative panel for the hallway.
What we love about these projects is that they cost almost nothing and give the house a unique charm. The weathered wood, the metal handles, the marks left by timeā¦ everything tells a story.
