It replaces stain removers, degreasers, bathroom cleaners, and even dishwashing liquid. And the craziest part? It’s super simple to make.
At first, I didn’t believe it either. A miracle paste that cleans from floor to ceiling, makes dishes shine, and whitens clothes? It sounded like the myth of the happy housewife. But I tried it… and I was amazed.
Since then, I use it everywhere:
On greasy stovetops
On sticky furniture tops
To bring my sinks back to life
To whiten curtains, socks, sheets
To make dishes shine like never before
Even my windows and grout can’t resist it
And guess what? I’m giving you the recipe.
My multi-purpose (and magic) paste recipe
2 tablespoons of mustard powder (yes, the kind found in the spice section)
1 tablespoon of baking soda
50 ml of dish soap (like “Fairy” or other)
1 tablespoon of 9% white vinegar
2 tablespoons of ammonia (available at the pharmacy)
Don’t panic if it foams! It’s normal, it’s the magic working…
Mix all the ingredients well until you get a brown paste. And be sure to wear gloves, as the mustard can irritate your skin.
How to use it? Here’s what I do:
For whitening laundry
I dilute 1 tablespoon of paste in 1.5 liters of very hot water, then let sheets, socks, curtains, and stained clothes soak for 2-3 hours. After that, toss them in the washing machine or wash by hand. Result? Whiter than white.
In the kitchen
I apply the paste to greasy areas: stove, oven, hood, backsplash, upper cabinets… I let it sit for 20 minutes, rinse → it’s like new.
Even my pots regain their shine.
In the toilet and bathroom
I use it on toilets, bathtubs, sinks, faucets. A quick wipe with a sponge or brush, rinse, and goodbye to limescale and soap scum.
Honestly, this paste has changed my routine. I almost never buy cleaning products anymore, I save money, I pollute less, and my house has never been cleaner.
