Inna is a young Russian woman who lives in Novorossiysk, about 250 kilometers northwest of the city of Sochi. She is one of the women to whom makeup artist Gohar Avetisyan has helped restore self-confidence.
Gohar has turned her career into a true mission dedicated to celebrating femininity despite the damage caused by illness. Originally a simple makeup artist, she chose to use her fame to help these women.
At just thirty years old, Inna had never experienced romantic love, and for one specific reason: she had never felt beautiful enough to attract someone. In fact, part of her face was disfigured. She therefore turned to the famous makeup artist Gohar Avetisyan to have her makeup done. She simply wanted to look like everyone else, if only for a single day. Gohar used all of her expertise to make that dream come true.
She showed Inna’s photo to her team, and there was some hesitation… They asked the makeup specialist whether she would be able to help and apply makeup properly. Inna’s face was heavily marked, which concerned Gohar’s team. But that did not stop Gohar from replying: “At the very least, I could try…”
The 23-year-old artist paid for Inna’s flight from Sochi to Moscow. She did her makeup and also offered her a beautiful dress to wear. Later, she posted the results of her work on Instagram in the form of a step-by-step video.
Many people offered financial assistance in the comments. Gohar thanked them in a video response. She also announced that she would launch a fundraising campaign to finance surgery for Inna. She added the following comment to her video:
“I am overwhelmed, words fail me, and I’m in tears. I never imagined that so many people would respond so positively to her story and want to help her. I cannot find the right words to express what I feel and how grateful I am to all of you. I send you all my warmest thanks.”
All women are beautiful. Some need makeup or tattoos to feel confident, while others need words of comfort and encouragement.
