A true tattoo lover has dramatically transformed his appearance: today, 95% of his body is covered in ink! 😲 But the most surprising part? Just five years ago, he didn’t have a single tattoo… You won’t believe your eyes when you see his before-and-after transformation! 👇👀
Imagine standing in front of a mirror, seeing a reflection completely altered by the art of tattooing. This is the daily reality of Tristan Weigelt, a 26-year-old tattoo artist who has chosen to adorn nearly his entire body. But what drove him to go this far, and what is life like when your body becomes a permanent work of art?

A quest for identity or an artistic passion taken to the extreme?
It all started when he was 20 years old. After getting his first tattoo, Tristan became truly fascinated by this art, to the point where he gradually transformed his body into a vast, living canvas. But is this a personal quest or simply an unconditional love for body art?
Unlike those who choose tattoos to mark memories or personal symbols, Tristan sees his tattoos as a purely aesthetic approach. “For me, it’s primarily a way to express my creativity,” he says. He isn’t looking to convey a particular message but rather to explore a new artistic dimension on a unique canvas: his own body.
This radical transformation raises an essential question:
Does our external appearance define who we really are?
For Tristan, the answer is clear:
“Inside, I’m still the same.”
Covering 95% of his skin is not just an aesthetic choice—it’s also a significant mental and physical challenge. Some parts of the body are notoriously painful to tattoo, especially the face and skull.
Tristan describes the sensation as “being scraped with a wire brush.” Just imagining it sends shivers down your spine!
To achieve this result, he had to endure six long sessions, some lasting over six hours. He rates the pain an eight out of ten. Yet, despite the intensity of the experience, he has never regretted his decision.
But why go through such an ordeal?
His answer is as simple as it is sincere:
“Because I love it.”
Turning his body into an art gallery comes at a cost. Tristan estimates that he has spent nearly €50,000 on his tattoos. A massive investment, but for him, it’s not an unnecessary expense—it’s a true form of self-expression.
“Ink is permanent, but style evolves.”
And if one day he regrets it?
Tristan remains pragmatic:
“Choose a design that truly represents you. If it matters to you, go for it.”

Getting a tattoo: A decision to think through carefully
Getting a tattoo is a bold choice, but even a small design requires thought. Many hesitate for fear of no longer identifying with their choice over time.
His advice?

First, think about what the tattoo means to you, not what others might think.
“If you like the idea, don’t let outside opinions influence you.”
Every tattoo tells a story. Yours can remain private, or, like Tristan’s, turn into an artwork for all to see.
