Liz’s life has always been directly related to dogs.
When she was a child, her mother raised West Highland White Terriers, and her father owned a pet food business.
Therefore, by the time Liz grew up, her life simply could not have been complete without paws pounding on the floor.
She found her calling in working with dogs rescued from difficult situations.
Unfortunately, Liz’s husband did not fully share her passion. Tired of living in a house forever filled with dogs, he gave her an ultimatum: “Either I, or the dogs.”
Liz, of course, didn’t think long.
After 25 years of marriage, Liz’s husband packed up and left.
Liz and her husband got married back in 1991 and moved into their own house.
Confident that she could make caring for dogs a part of her life, Liz opened a small shelter right on the territory adjacent to the house.
Over time, the idea began to evolve and turned into a specialized shelter for bull terriers.
Liz helps a huge number of dogs find a new home and start a new life.
She takes dogs that have nowhere else to go for temporary housing, takes care of their health and makes them happy while they are waiting for their new family.
Such a business brings immense satisfaction from the realization that the life of animals is changing for the better.
However, Liz admits that it is not easy – she has no days off, she works until late at night.
It’s a big responsibility, but Liz is not going to stop.
