The schoolboy decided to go down to the water from the city sea embankment to feed the fish.
Usually in such cases, a small coastal fish swims up. But this time there were almost no coastal fish.
Very soon, the water darkened strangely, and a three-meter stingray suddenly rose from the water at the surface.
In the first seconds, the boy was very surprised: after all, it’s not every day that you expect to see a fish the size of a room at arm’s length.
But then he regained his composure and continued to feed the unexpected guest. Moreover, the stingray expressed curiosity with its whole appearance. It even stuck its head out of the water to examine the person on the stairs.
A little later, local fishermen identified the guest.
According to them, they have known this stingray for a long time and even named it Sebastian. The fish is the unspoken fishing mascot of their town of Valle Gran Rey.
It turned out that the stingray often comes to the fishermen’s boats in search of food, and the fishermen are not averse to feeding it with the rest of the catch or bread.
The size of the stingray is about 3 meters, and the weight is almost 200 kilograms. But, despite the size, Sebastian is a good-natured sea dweller.
Having received a portion of crumbs from the boy, the stingray even let himself be stroked.
The most interesting thing is that in recent years, other stingrays in this area have begun to copy Sebastian’s behavior. It seems that getting food from people turned out to be much easier than looking for it in the sea.
