A chicken named Alice and a Vietnamese potbellied pig, Francisco, cannot imagine life without each other.
Animals live in a shelter and spend all the time together.
The friends now live at the Tribe Animal Sanctuary in the UK. Alice met her giant friend as soon as she got to the shelter.
Francisco the Pig lives indoors and is everyone’s favorite.
And the chicken had to be placed in a room for the period of quarantine – it was necessary to check if she was sick with bird flu.
Francisco’s story is rather banal.
He lived in Lanarkshire, Scotland. A teenage girl was given a mini-pig for her birthday, which suddenly grew into a large Vietnamese potbellied pig.
When the girl was unable to care for the pet, which was getting bigger, Francisco was sent to a shelter.
Morag Sangster, the head of the shelter, allowed the pig to live in the house with 4 dogs.
And Alice ended up in a shelter after Morag rescued her from a bird farm where they raised chickens for food.
Ever since Alice and Francisco met, they have become inseparable.
The chicken spends most of the day on the back of the pig, clinging to it with its claws.
And Francisco rejoices – after all, it seems to him that the chicken is scratching his back.
In the end, Alice passed the quarantine and was allowed to walk with other birds in the yard.
However, she enjoys spending time in the house with Francisco much more.
