Subodh Kumar Singh is a famous Indian doctor working in the field of surgery. He is a children’s doctor who helps babies born with a defect, such as a cleft palate.
Over the long years of his professional activity, he performed about 38 thousand surgical interventions, while not taking a penny from the parents.
Thanks to this attitude to work, the doctor did more good deeds than anyone else – he changed the lives of kids.
Lip and palate defects are a congenital condition resulting from a developmental error in the mother’s abdomen. Such defects cause a poor quality of life for boys and girls.
With them, it is not possible to feed on the milk of their mother’s breasts, they are the cause of teasing from their peers and some adults.
In many cases, such a problem can be corrected through plastic surgery methods, but the cost of operations is so high that not all families are able to raise money for treatment. It is for this reason that an Indian doctor helps little patients for free.
“I was born into a low-income family, and this allowed me to become an honest person who understands the difficulties of people who live paycheck to paycheck. I was able to become a plastic surgeon and have been helping those who need it for many years,” says the doctor.
