This summer, while passing by some dumpsters, I spotted a small old stool that had been thrown away without remorse. It looked miserable—peeling paint, a broken seat.
But despite its age, the frame was incredibly sturdy. I felt sorry for it and decided to take it home.
Once back, I started by sanding the surface, removing the old paint and imperfections. Then, I gave it a fresh coat of paint, choosing a shade that matched the interior of my country house.
Instead of the old seat, I built a new one from wooden planks, giving it a look that was both cozy and stylish.
Now, this restored stool is not only a great place to sit, but it has also become a practical detail in my home decor. You can place flower pots, candles, or other beautiful objects on it.
