Can a tiny 24 m² apartment become an elegant, functional, and cozy home? Absolutely! The living proof: Élise, a home decor enthusiast, transformed this compact space into a true haven of comfort. Kitchen, sleeping area, living room, bathroom—even a balcony—it’s all there, without ever feeling cramped.
And the most impressive part? She did it all herself.
The Turning Point
At first, Élise was planning a standard layout. But after stumbling upon a design project online, an idea began to form: why not rethink the entire layout and create a smart, modern studio—even on a tight budget?
Armed with patience and YouTube tutorials, she taught herself how to plaster walls, lay tiles and parquet flooring, apply wallpaper… A true self-taught journey! She even assembled all the furniture on her own. Only a few professionals were called in for plumbing, electricity, and door installations.
Every Square Meter Optimized
Kitchen:
- Two distinct zones: one for the stovetop and sink, the other for the fridge and countertop.
- A portable induction hob that tucks into a drawer, saving valuable space.
- Microwave, toaster, and multi-cooker cleverly hidden in the lower cabinets.
Sleeping Area:
- Separated by a light partition for added privacy.
- A decorative accent wall adds warmth to the atmosphere.
Living Room:
- A cozy sofa, a compact dining table, and the TV placed opposite.
- White walls and furniture visually enlarge the space.
A Stylish Bathroom
Élise’s signature touch? A wood-look clawfoot tub that brings a chic, vintage vibe—all in a soft, elegant atmosphere.
Small Space, Big Ideas
This transformation proves that with creativity, determination, and a bit of elbow grease, even a studio can become a true gem. Élise created a space that reflects her: practical, beautiful, and full of soul.
