It took two long days and a very complicated operation to rescue the baby goat stuck in an 250 ft irrigation pipe. Thanks to the hard endeavors of the volunteers of Humane Society, the eight-month-old goat was rescued in Arizona.
After receiving a phone call from a worried citizen, who explained he constantly heard a crying of a goat from the property located next to his house, the Human Society rushed to the scene to investigate.
It was found out that the goat stuck somewhere underground and that it was very difficult to determine his exact place.
The rescue group had to postpone the operation due to the lack of necessary rescue instruments. The next day, they came back with a snake camera, to determine the goat’s location.
But, unfortunately, this smart equipment didn’t help them. As they had no time, the team decided to dig a hole close to the pipe’s entry. The smart rescuers had to rely on their intuition. So they started to chip the concrete away, opening a hole.
Fortunately, they were very close to the poor baby goat, only 4 feet away from the hole they had dug. So, the team managed to reach the helpless creature with their hands.
The goat’s owner grabbed the frightened animal by its horn to stop it to move, so that the rescuers could work without harming it.
After six hours of hard efforts, the rescue group eventually saved the goat. The poor baby goat could drown down in the pipe, if the rescuers wouldn’t save it.
