Sometimes relationships between animals in real life are even more interesting than in books and cartoons.

And the friendship of a dog named Tinni and a wild fox Sniffer is living proof of this.

Tinni lives in Norway with her owner, photographer Torgeir Berge, who takes these amazing pictures.

It’s obvious that Sniffer and Tinni don’t know they’re from different species – the two romp and play like they’ve been friends all their lives.

Watching Tinni and Sniffer’s friendship, Berge became a critic of the fur industry and livestock farms, where foxes are kept in tiny cages before being killed for their pelts.

“Foxes are very similar to dogs in their behavior and character. And it pains me to think of the millions of foxes like Sniffer who are locked up in cages all their lives,” Berge writes on social media.

Fortunately for Sniffer (and for Tinni), they have a place to play, so they spend all the time together, walking through the woods near Berge’s house.

The fox and the dog don’t seem to mind at all that a person with a camera is constantly watching them.

The main thing for them is to enjoy each other’s company.
