The unusual friends, a boy and a cat, live in Oklahoma. They have the same features of appearance – a cleft lip and a different eye color. The story of a child and a pet will make almost anyone believe in fate and that miracles do happen.
7-year-old Madden Humphreys was born with a serious defect in appearance. When the mother saw the baby in the hospital, she gasped, the child had a cleft lip. In addition, one eye was blue, the other brown.
Doctors reassured the woman that his appearance was fixable. And when the child grew up, he underwent several operations and more or less brought his appearance in order. However, with regard to heterochromia (different eye colors), then the doctors shrugged.
When the boy went to school, his peers constantly teased him. They laughed that he was not like everyone else. This upset the child to the point of sobbing into the pillow at night.
But one day everything changed, as if by magic. One day, Madden’s mom Christina Humphreys saw a photo of an unusual cat on Facebook. It was hosted by an animal rescue group.
The animal had exactly the same deviations in appearance as her firstborn. Such a coincidence so impressed the family members that they decided without hesitation to adopt the animal.
“I was amazed that such a cat even exists. It’s amazing that we found out about it. And it’s incredible that so many people we know and don’t know helped us get to the cat and take it from the shelter,” the woman admitted.
The appearance of a cat in the house, similar to him, led the kid into indescribable delight and changed his outlook on life beyond recognition. Now Madden no longer feels lonely, lost and rejected.
The kitty was named Luna, and the mother has already posted pictures with her on social media. Users in the comments admire the friendship between a child and a pet and support the family in every possible way.
