This shabby, beaten dog was found on the streets of the of Claremore, Oklahoma.
The poor boy suffered from a skin disease and sunburn – so severe that every touch was painful for him.
Kind people picked him up and took him to the shelter.
The shelter determined that the doggie who received the name Kong is about four years old, and he is a Border Collie.
The boy was later taken to Border Collie Rescue & Rehab for further treatment.
At the rescue center, Kong’s health was regained.
He gained weight, his fur grew back and his skin recovered.
After the treatment, the dog was ready to find a new family.
Then, on the web-site, he was accidentally noticed by a guy named Curtis Hartsell.
Seeing the dog, the guy immediately decided – this is the pet he was looking for.
After a couple of interviews, Curtis was confirmed and Kong went to his new home.
The owner also gave him a new name – Zib, in honor of the astronaut dog.
During the first meeting of these two, it was already clear – this is love.
When the guy approached Zib and started stroking him, the dog reached out to him and hugged him.
Since then, they are inseparable, and love each other very much.
Zib is truly happy: there is a loving owner next to him, to whom he is immensely grateful for a new life.
Curtis himself is happy that Zib appeared in his life and adorned it:
“I can’t even say who saved whom, because we appeared in each other’s life at the right time.
I love him very much,” the guy says.
