Over the years, Angelina Jolie has been one of those rare stars who flatly refused to have pages on social media.
However, this has changed not so long ago. Probably, the actress realized that she could make a much greater public and charitable contribution if she shared her thoughts and blogged about her travels herself.
As a result, Angelina’s blog already has 14.1 million followers who follow the activities of the actress.
So, last Wednesday, Jolie visited Iraq and, of course, immediately shared what she saw there with her followers.
On this trip, the celebrity was accompanied by Nobel laureate Nadia Murat. Together they visited a Yezidi village. After visiting the residents, Angelina and Nadia went to the local cemetery.
It is there that the memory of the terrible tragedy of 2014 is still kept.
“An emotional day with my friend Nadia Murad, with whom I spent the whole day in Sinjar in Iraq,” Angelina signed the footage.
She said that Nadia does a lot for the residents who are trying to recover from those terrible events. By the way, Jolie donated the fee from the recent shootings in the Guerlain campaign to these charitable initiatives.
In one of the pictures, when Angelina and Nadia were in the old school building, emotions took over the actress. She couldn’t hold back her tears as she looked at the heartbreaking photos..
“Thank you for visiting our villages and talking about how hard it was for our people”, “Angelina is an example of a woman with an incredibly big heart”.
“I can’t imagine how it was possible to calmly go through these photos. I completely understand why Angelina cried,” said Internet users in the comments.
