Meet Alaskan Malamute, named Odin, who had a rough past. He was found in a terrible condition. Instead of having a black and white thick coat, he practically had no fur.

Odin had infected skin, which was covered with wounds, and that’s why he smelled bad. He had so thin, apparently, starved of hunger for a long time. Odin had broken and cracked teeth. Poor creature looked  so miserable.

But fortunately, one day his life has changed, when he was rescued by the workers of the Southern Pines Animal Shelter. Odin was found with several dogs chained up and neglected by some heartless breeders. He needed an urgent help, treatment, caring family and loving sweet home.

Sidney Shelkopf became his adoptive mother. When Odin arrived at her house, he looked frightened and confused. Apparently, he has never been inside a house, everything was so unfamiliar to him.

For weeks, he used to lay in the same spot and didn’t want to play with his foster mother or some toys, he was not like the other normal dogs.

But in two days he started gradually to come out from his shell. He began to trust Sidney and the second day, he dared to climb onto Sidney’s bed, throwing his bony body next to her and looking at her with his sad eyes.

Odin felt eventually at home.

It took several months, until Odin turned into a beautiful dog with a precious and adorable look. His transformation was so incredible.

He looked healthy, his skin was fluffy. The bad days and tough past were over. He needed only undergoing surgery on his broken teeth.

Sidney helped the majestic dog to be healthy and happy, to be not ignored, but loved.
