Last Monday, the final release of Carpool Karaoke appeared on the official Utah channel, the main character of which was Adele.
It’s no secret that the singer has a fairly close relationship with the host of the project – James Corden.
So she could communicate with him in a rather free way, not only about music, but also about her personal life. And also about what difficult and sad events inspired her to write certain songs.
The Grammy winner, who has repeatedly talked about how her divorce from Simon Konecki hit her hard, admitted that it was James who was able to help her in those difficult times.
Adele still cannot remember this period without tears.
Corden, by the way, also barely restrained his emotions. Especially when Adele shared the story of how they went on vacation together with their children in order to quickly forget the nightmare that the celebrity had to endure due to a break with her husband.
In a further conversation, Adele revealed for the first time that James had inspired her to write the song I Drink Wine.
“It was January 4, 2020, and we were on vacation with our kids. And then talking with you pushed me to write this song,” the celebrity recalled.
According to her, it was this short trip that helped her finally return to normal and realize that she was responsible not only for herself, but also for her son Angelo.
“And then it was your turn to ask me for advice. And, to be honest, it made me feel unsafe,” admitted the celebrity.
It is not entirely clear due to what difficulties Corden turned to the artist, but it is easy to assume – the host was always sharp-tongued, which is why he often found himself at the center of scandals.
