One day, on the way home from work, Tia Belton saw her dog walking on the street alone.
The girl was surprised: “My Reese never wandered, she doesn’t like to run out into the street at all.”
It seemed even stranger to Tia that the pet walked near the trash heap. “Usually she just basks in the sun, so sniffing the trash can was too much for her.”
Belton called out to the dog – it ran up and jumped into the car.
For the rest of the way, the girl wondered how the pet managed to escape.
With these thoughts, she drove up to the house, opened the door… and saw that Reese was waiting for her inside.
The woman could not believe her eyes.
She once again looked at the dog in her arms – and only then realized the mistake: “I was shocked and embarrassed. How could I not recognize my child?”
Reese herself was no less confused: she did not understand why the mom brought her “twin” into the house.
And only the second dog – her name is Bella – looked pleased. She immediately jumped onto the sofa and began to behave like home.
Bella was very sweet, but Tia didn’t keep her. Realizing that, most likely, she was lost, the woman began to search for her owners.
Within three days, the real family of the dog contacted her. Belton explained her mistake to them and returned Bella to the owners.
