Wesley is a young photographer. One day he went kayaking to get some great pictures in Belize.
But suddenly on his way he saw a small island littered with branches. Wesley was shocked: a dog stood among the dry branches. Incredibly thin and hungry.
The poor thing wagged his tail, despite the exhaustion and weakness. His body was trembling, and ribs were showing under the thin skin.
How he got here remained a mystery, but the young man understood that he could not abandon an exhausted and lonely dog.
“It seemed to me that my heart would burst out of my chest!” – recalls Wesley the moment he met the dog.
Just in case, the guy called someone who could fish or just be nearby, but soon the young man became convinced that there was no one nearby, and the dog was really all alone.
Then the guy carried the dog into the kayak. He named the dog Winston.
After 36 hours, the guy was supposed to return home, but the photographer could not leave the homeless dog.
And people began to help! Someone brought jars of food, and someone agreed with the veterinarian so that the dog could be examined.
A blood test showed that there were no serious deviations in Winston’s health, and the young man was pleased with this news.
Soon the dog went to Dallas to Wesley, who decided to take him to his house!
The meeting was to take place at the airport, where the photographer was eagerly awaiting the pet.
“It was that moment when I thought, ‘What if he doesn’t remember me?’ – says the guy.
Indeed, in the first minute the dog did not know how to react to Wesley and began to sniff at his shoes. And then Winston jumped on his paws and began to jump, wagging his tail merrily.
And soon the owner and his dog returned to Montana, where the photographer lived.
Wesley says that meeting with a pet is fate, because they found each other by pure chance, but now they will never part!
