This is Poppy. She was a stray kitten who had only one eye (the second eye was underdeveloped) and who lived on one of the streets of Cairo (Egypt).
When she was noticed by a resident of Cairo named Ahmed, the kitten was suffering from a skin disease and there was no cat mother next to her.
Poppy was alone and desperately tried to survive.
Ahmed decided to help the kitten.
He contacted Happy Homes Animal Rescue, an American private animal rescue community, and they agreed to take the kitten in.
While preparations were underway for the move, Ahmed took the kitten to him and looked after her, and also treated her.
In a short time, the kitten completely changed.
And on May 30, after a 14-hour flight, Poppy the kitten arrived in New Jersey to the representatives of the Happy Homes Animal Rescue society.
– She turned out to be such a sweet and nice girl, – says one of the volunteers of the society. – She just wants to get a lot of love. She’s only been with us for two days, but she’s already used to us.
Now the community is looking for a new home and owner for the kitten.
