Elephants are very sensitive and intelligent creatures on our planet. Though huge, they have very gentle souls and are caring and extremely attentive to each other.
They have special and tight connection with each other, and form strong bonds with each other.
Elephant parents are protective and devoted. They never leave their babies in need. They are ready for self-sacrifice if needed. And this footage is a vivid proof of a selfless action of two female elephants, which is incredible.
The short video was recorded on the security camera of the Seoul Grand Park Zoo, which shows the two elephants rushed to save the drowning elephant baby.
The little calf was trying to drink some water from the pool, but, all of a sudden, he found himself into the water.
Elephant calves can’t swim, so the little creature was about to drown. As soon as the calf appeared in the water, one of the female elephants noticing the baby drowning, was in panic, she started to help the calf, but failed, then the second female elephant rushed to join the first one.
They together run to the entrance of the pool and tried quickly to guide the little calf to the pond’s entry. Thanks to their team work and endeavors, the little creature was safe.
In the footage there is seen the third elephant, who was behind the fence, and was unable to help. The worried elephant walked from one side to another, showing her concern.
Such kind and caring gesture of elephants is very common in elephants’ herds. They build incredible and firm bonds with the members of their families.
