The Bodmin Police rescue team arrived at the incident place and immediately undertook searching process.
Soon an unexpected support appeared leading the team to the exact place, where the woman could be.
A passerby resident, hearing the loud meow of a cat nearby the woman’s address next to the maize filed, informed the officers about it.
It was found out that the persistent feline was the cat of the missing woman, whose name was Piran.
Thanks to her furry companion, his human was saved.
The police officers started the search task of the 83-year-old senior lady, who, found out, was fallen into a ravine of about 70ft depth and got stuck there.
Soon, the fire crew arrived to organize the rescue of the lady. They used a stretcher to pull out the old woman.
The terrain was uneven and the access to her was so difficult, but the team managed to save the woman, who was unharmed and in a good mood.
She was transported to the local hospital, where she should be under medical control for a couple of days.
