The photographer captured the amazing moment when a huge mother bear simultaneously fed two cubs and stretched all four paws, maintaining perfect balance.
Wildlife photographer Renee Doyle, 54, from Surfers Paradise, Queensland, Australia, made a special trip to Alaska to Lake Clarke National Park to capture bears.
Looking for subjects for pictures, she came across a big bear with two milk cubs born this year.
The bear and the cubs were on the shore of the lake and played in the water. And then the mother lay on her back and the cubs climbed onto her stomach to drink milk from the nipples.
“It was a rare moment for the mother bear to relax, the rest of the time she watched her cubs every minute, played with them, taught them and made sure that they were safe,” says the photographer.
Taking advantage of this moment of relaxation, the bear also decided to stretch her paws a little, giving the photographer rare and very successful shots, in which she seems to be doing yoga.
“Even at this moment, she kept a close eye on the surroundings, not for a moment losing her vigilance. I was so close that it was very dangerous and gave me a thrill. I really love shooting in the wild.”
