Harper, who was diagnosed with Down syndrome, was born almost 40 minutes earlier than her sister Quinn.
When the doctors saw the girl, they began to apologize for not being able to see the pathology and not warning the mother.
“I remember how the doctor stood in front of me and apologized for a long time. But when I saw my babies, my heart immediately melted. They were so wonderful. When I had an ultrasound scan during pregnancy, no abnormalities were found,” Nicola said.
According to the woman, Harper and Quinn have a strong connection. The younger girl, Quinn, is already a little jealous of her older sister, because her hair has grown.

Like many children with Down syndrome, Harper was born with a heart condition. And when the girl is 6 years old, she will have an operation. Mom loves her daughters equally, despite the fact that they are very different.
Nicola complains that people around her often look at her warily and say unpleasant things.
“Down syndrome is still perceived by many people negatively and warily,” Nikola said.
The girls have an older brother, Lucas, who was looking forward to the birth of their sisters.
According to officials, there are approximately 40,000 people with Down syndrome in the UK. But the case when one of the twins is born with this syndrome is unique.
