Twins Dagg and Phil Malm married twin sisters Jill and Jena and have been living as a big family in the same house for 26 years now.
All these years, both couples wear the same clothes and the same hairstyles.
There are only 250 pairs of family twins in the world.
The men admit that even having been married for a quarter of a century, they sometimes confuse their wives.
The Malm brothers and their wives wear the same clothes and work, by the way, in the same place.
“Unfortunately, sometimes I can’t tell them apart, so I do what I did with Jena and see which one reacts. We never get close to each other too quickly,” admits Phil.
Doug and Jill have a daughter, Riley, who is 21, while Phil and Jena have a 20-year-old son, Tim. They all live together in one big house.
The story of unusual couples began in 1991 at the Twins Festival.
The Lassen sisters came to the celebration from a neighboring state. At the festival, the girls broke the camera and turned to two guys, Doug and Phil, for help.
A spark flashed between them, and the next day they spent together. By the way, the brothers are exactly 10 years older than their wives.
After the festival, they exchanged addresses, only after a while they managed to find the girls’ phone numbers. At first, they just talked on the phone, as they lived hundreds of kilometers from each other.
The following year, Doug was very lucky – he won a Caribbean cruise and invited the twins with him.
“Not knowing which Jena was, and not sure who I was talking to, my brother and I went to their hotel room, we looked them straight in the eyes and said: “Choose one once and for all,”” recalls Phil.
A few months later, the girls participated in the twins’ competition, where they got not only the first place, but also a marriage proposal from the Malm brothers.
The double wedding took place in August 1993. Jena and Jill tried on 53 dresses before choosing what to go down the aisle.
It is interesting that before meeting with their soul mates, the brothers did not spend much time together: they had different friends, they studied in different places.
The sisters, on the contrary, were inseparable, so after the wedding, Phil and Doug decided that it was better not to separate Jena and Jill.
The children of twins are similar to each other. Riley admits that she is often asked if she is Tim’s sister. But their characters and interests are different.
