Zendaya and Tom Holland are among the most popular and talked about couples worldwide.
But at first, when the stars met on the set of a new film about Spider-Man, no one believed in their romance.
Many had no doubt that the relationship between the actors is a way to draw attention to the film.
In the end, what was originally considered a PR romance, grew into something clearly more. However, the lovers had quite a few obstacles.
For example, in an interview with reporters, the actress admitted that she still does not always understand what the chosen one wants to say. And all because of the accent.
“Of course, I also like the British accent. But no matter how Tom tries to explain the subtleties to me, I will never understand this cockney,” said the celebrity.
Cockney is one of the most famous types of London vernacular.
Cockneys use a certain pronunciation and their own specific vocabulary, in which words are sometimes changed to others that rhyme with the original version.
“I got the basic concept, but what do apples and pears have to do with stairs?” Zendaya asked jokingly, referring to the expression Get up those apples to bed – where the word stairs changes to apples.
“It’s very sweet when he says things like that, but I really don’t understand anything,” the actress laughed.
By the way, now the couple is planning the arrangement of joint real estate with might and main.
Recall that the lovers together bought a house in Richmond, which costs 3 million pounds.
Now they are waiting for repairs. It will include a cinema, a gym and a “bachelor’s lair”.
