After the publication of the story of a man with many children, women began to write to the editors of the media and send congratulations to Thomas. One of them proposed him to marry her. But he replied that now he had no time for romance, only for children.

It is worth noting that five children are not the first children of Lamont. In 2001, he adopted a boy named Michael Perez.

“He was a wonderful young man, and it hurt me to see him at the orphanage,” Thomas said.

Now, Perez works as a nurse.

“I don’t believe that I would have become the man that I am without the morality that he taught me, and without this huge family that I have now,” Michael shared with reporters.

Thomas did not stop after the first adopted child. Over the next 15 years, he raised over 30 children from orphanages because he wanted to change their lives and give them a chance for a better future.
