Selena and Hailey’s conflict seems to be as old as time. But the singer’s fans continue to defend her every time.
Another wave of hate hit the wife of Justin Bieber because of her seemingly innocent jokes about Gomez. Hailey, along with Kylie Jenner, made fun of (it’s not clear whether it was intentional or not) Selena’s unsuccessful eyebrow lamination.
After such inaccurate jokes, they began to lose followers on Instagram. And in the comments under their latest posts, it’s generally scary to look. Selena’s fans have been rampaging there for several weeks.
It seems that the frenzied defenders of the singer have gone too far, as Gomez herself addressed them with a call to calm down.
She published a story on Instagram in which she admitted that Hailey herself had contacted her and told about the terrible threats against her.
“Hailey Bieber contacted me and said that she received threats. This is not what I stand for. No one should experience this. I have always stood for kindness and really want it all to stop.”
It’s scary to imagine how much the fans’ commitment to their idol can sometimes reach. Such statements look especially frightening in the context of the fact that Selena just recently broke another record, becoming the most popular girl on Instagram.
