A family from Indiana managed to find their dog after almost a decade of separation.
In this they were helped by modern technologies.
A dog named Kemo came to his family as a puppy.
The happy life of a mixture of an American bulldog and a pit bull terrier did not last long. In 2013, at the age of 2, the dog disappeared.
His family never gave up the search completely and did not lose hope. They always looked through ads for found dogs.
And suddenly, employees of the organization Fort Wayne Animal Care and Control called the owners and said that Kemo was found.
The dog was brought in as a stray dog, and it was able to identify the owners by scanning his microchip.
“We are very happy that the dog is finally reunited with his family! It was such a touching moment, and we are glad that Kemo had a microchip to make this moment possible,” the organization says.
When Kemo disappeared, his family decided to save the lost animals.
They opened their own establishment called “Dog Paradise”. All rescued dogs have been microchipped, so they can find their home in an emergency.
