Dogs rarely leave anyone indifferent, and those who continue to enjoy life even after injuries can melt the heart of even an inveterate cynic.
These four-legged friends faced difficulties in their time and became the heroes of the book “Perfectly imperfect” by Australian photographer Alex Cearns.
Their portraits are the author’s tribute to the courage of these animals with a strong character.
The author claims that the purpose of the book is to draw public attention to such a terrible disease as cancer in dogs.
“In these series, I show the beauty of disabled animals. I hope people will see their passion for life, their ability to enjoy every moment,” says Alex Cearns.
A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the book will go to the Australian Animal Cancer Foundation.
In addition, Alex hopes that she was able to fully show people that animals, despite their limited opportunities, continue to live life to the fullest.
