Children can be terribly possessive, especially when it comes to things that are truly valuable to them: toys and candy.
Gillian Grose decided to play a prank on her three-year-old son by telling him she ate all the candy the boy got on Halloween.
She expected tantrums and crying, but not her little one’s reaction.
After Halloween, little three-year-old Rutledge went into the kitchen to eat breakfast.
Her mother told the child that she must have eaten the candy she had been given the night before because she was very hungry and there was no other food in the house.
At first the boy didn’t believe it and thought his mother was joking.
Mom told her son that she had eaten all his sweets: the boy’s reaction touched even the most insensitive adults
But Gillian insisted and repeated that she was very hungry and had to do it. “I’m sorry,” she added, doing her best not to laugh.
“You could have taken food here!” The child opened the refrigerator and pointed to its contents.
Then he went to his mother and said, “Mom, I’m not… I’m not mad at you. It’s okay.”
The child’s character is absolutely angelic – it is even surprising to find such children still in our lives.
But after this video was published online, the mother was attacked and condemned – with the words: “How could you make fun of the baby like that?”
