Kitty Matilda was born very sick and weak.
Although the veterinarians offered to euthanize the animal, there was a person who gave her a chance at life.
The kittens were born with an upper respiratory tract infection.
While the little cat’s siblings were recovering, she was getting worse. The disease progressed rapidly.
Fortunately, fate smiled at the sick animal. She was taken in by a woman named Ashley Kelly.
She named the cat Matilda and decided to make every effort so that the little animal would recover.
So that Matilda would not be sad, she was given a small toy – a purple sheep with the name Lamby Beans.
The kitten kept clutching the gift with its paws.
The rescue of the kitty lasted several months. At home, Ashley had everything she needed for intensive care: an incubator, an oxygen concentrator, liquid for injections, and the like.
The baby was lucky that Ashley took adopted her.
Matilda did not get better for a very long time.
Veterinarians even offered to euthanize the animal. Severe pneumonia and ulcers on the cornea of the eyes were added to the infection.
Treatment began when Matilda was 9 days old. And only at 11 weeks the cat began to recover.
Almost all the time the animal was in the incubator. Along with her was a plush friend, Lamby Beans.
Although the vets said that she would not be able to see because of the ulcers, everything cleared up and the kitten’s vision was preserved.
Now Matilda runs around, plays with her adopted siblings and enjoys life. And she never lets Lamby Beans, her favorite toy, out of her sight.
