The personal life of Janet Jackson has always interested the public. And not only because of the star family, but also because the artist herself preferred not to comment on the numerous rumors about what was really happening behind the scenes of her concerts.
It is known that in 1984 the singer married musician James DeBarge.
But already in 1985 she divorced him.
After that, rumors first appeared that a child was born in marriage, which Janet, due to her age – she was then a little over 18 years old – chose to hide.
However, in a new documentary by Lifetime and A&E special, Jackson finally decided to dot the i’s.
She explained where the rumors about her pregnancy and childbirth came from.
“At that time, I gained weight because I was taking birth control. However, many took it as a sign that I was expecting a baby,” the artist explained.
She denied rumors that she had given birth to a child and gave him up to her sister Rebbie or brother Jackie.
“These rumors have been around for a very long time. Like, I do not allow the child to see his father. But it’s not about me at all. I would never in my life interfere with the communication of a child with dad,” Janet emphasized.
The artist also added that over the long years on stage, she heard a lot of different rumors about herself that did not correspond to reality at all.
It was even rumored that her niece Stevanna was actually her daughter, since they are very similar.
Recall that officially Janet has only one child – the son Issa, born in January 2017 from businessman Wissam Al Mana.
