New York Fashion Week, fall/winter 2024, takes place from February 9 to 14. Michael Kors unveiled his new collection in front of a crowd of celebrities including Katie Holmes and Mélanie Laurent.
When there is no more, there is still more! Yes, Fashion Week is over in Paris… but other cities are also celebrating fashion. It’s the Americans’ turn to attend the most beautiful fashion shows as designers present their fall-winter 2024 collections in New York from February 9 to 14. A few hours before the end of the event, on February 13, 2024, Michael Kors pulled out all the stops.
The American brand actually unveiled its new pieces live from 101 Seventh Avenue in New York, in a space with walls covered in mirrors.
The spectacle was on the catwalk as well as in the front row during the fashion show, since many celebrities were present. We particularly note the presence of the divine Blake Lively, in a total giraffe look, accompanied by her sister Robyn, but also that of the former star of the Dawson series, Katie Holmes, who charmed the crowds in a transparent ensemble revealing her shapely figure and bra.
The mother of Suri born from her past relationship with Tom Cruise wore a surprising golden nose ring as an accessory.
Allison Williams, Mélanie Laurent, Nicky Hilton Rothschild, Rain Spencer, Camila Coelho, Brie Larson, Shanina Shaik, Patina Miller, Nicole Ari Parker, Rachel Zegler, Abigail Spencer, Rachel Brosnahan, Rachel Zoe, Kelsea Ballerini, Kathryn Newton, Nina Dobrev, Gabrielle Union were also present.
“When the world is upside down, I think my job is to bring more confidence to people,” Michael Kors told The Associated Press. “It’s as simple as that.”
The designer lost his mother Joan last year. She had always inspired Michael Kors… but it was another woman who gave him the idea for this collection.
More especially a piece from his grandmother’s wardrobe. “I found her wedding dress,” he explains. “She got married in the 1930s and I started digging into what was being done at that time, because this outfit had the looks incredibly modern.” A beautiful tribute, therefore, to all the women in his life…
