In China, a dog was waiting for its owner who jumped into the river.
Another sad story from the Chinese city of Wuhan.
Public utility workers repairing the bridge over the Yangtze River said that a dog was sitting on the bridge in recent days, whose owner jumped into the water.
In the published photographs, one can indeed see a dog with a leash lying on the surface of the bridge, which is either lying or looking over the balustrade of the bridge into the river.
The dog was discovered on June 1, and a local resident named Xu tried to help him, but he refused food and water.
Police confirmed that on May 30, a man jumped off the bridge, apparently the former owner of the dog.
Unfortunately, the dog is not able to tell what prompted him to do this.
Eyewitnesses say that he looked determined and did everything without hesitation.
Xu tried to take the dog off the bridge, but at some point it broke free and ran away in an unknown direction.
Now they are looking for this dog, local residents and volunteers of the animal shelter hope that they will still find him.
