Angelina Jolie adopted a little Zahara Jolie-Pitt from an orphanage in Ethiopia what feels like only yesterday.
She was only six months old when the actress obtained custody of her, and at the time, according to accounts that appeared in print, she was malnourished and dehydrated.
According to the actress on BBC Radio 4 Today, Zahara and her family still have close ties to their respective nations of birth.
She asserted that her kids had gained the most knowledge about these topics just by interacting with one another and sharing experiences. They come from various backgrounds, but instead of downplaying this, they embrace it.
‘We go to their countries, spend time in their countries, but also they’re American, they’re American Ethiopian, they’re American Cambodian, so they have their countries and that’s a piece of who they are.’
18-year-old Zahara just completed her first year of college at Spelman.
Zahara is the third oldest of Angelina’s six children, the others being Maddox, 21, Pax, 19, Shiloh, 16, and twins Vivienne and Knox, 14, who are also her ex-husband Brad Pitt’s children. Brad and Angelina, both 59, were wed for two years after dating for 12 years overall before divorcing in 2017.
