Unfortunately, some pet owners don’t realize this and give their pets away after they get older.
This happened to a fifteen-year-old dog who was taken to a shelter when she began to have problems with urination.
Fifteen-year-old dog Netty was taken from a shelter 10 years ago. But unfortunately, due to health problems, she was handed over to a shelter when she got older.
Despite all this situation, the workers of the shelter were determined to find a new family with whom she would spend the rest of the allotted time.
After the situation, the dog was very depressed. It is very difficult for older dogs to find owners, since most people prefer to have puppies. People are not prepared for the challenges that come with having an older pet with health problems.
But, fortunately, there was a kind person who became a perfect family for Netty. Veterinarian Amy Kidd heard this story and knew she had to adopt Netty.
She had experience with older pets and moreover she had just lost her 12-year-old dog whom she also rescued from a shelter but failed to save from cancer.
Amy drove to Philadelphia and picked up Netty and gave her a loving home and family. She said that her ultimate goal is to love and pamper this dog every day and treat her like a queen.
Netty quickly settled into her new home. She now has her own Teddy Bear and other pets to play with.
As soon as she got home, she immediately fell asleep on the couch with Amy’s daughters, surrounded by six cats.
