A married couple from Taiwan, Chang Wanji and Shu Shu-ye, who are already over 80 years old, after 70 years of monotonous work in their own laundry, updated their approach to activities in a very original way.
So, the elderly became the stars of Facebook and Instagram, stylishly combining clothes forgotten or left by their clients for many years.
Thousands of users of social platforms from different parts of the world have already appreciated and cheered up the young couple at heart.
The idea of stylish dressing came from the grandson of Chang Wanji and Shu Shu-ye, Reef Chan, who convinced his grandparents to fashionably combine accumulated old clothes, take photos in them and share them on social networks.
According to Reef, in this way he only wanted to cheer up his grandparents, who could often doze off during the working day, waiting for clients. And each new day was no different from the previous one.
But he never expected such a positive effect on social networks: “There is often no one in the laundry, they [grandparents] start to fall asleep at the counter, the mood is at zero. So I thought: if we already have so many unclaimed clothes, I could remind people to take them away, and show my grandparents that their life can be interesting even in old age,” Reef explained his idea in an interview.
At first, the couple was very reluctant to the idea. Because in this business, it is considered unacceptable to wear someone else’s clothes. But the grandson managed to convince them: “Age is not a hindrance to good style.”
Even though the couple donated a lot of clothes to charities, their entrepreneurial wardrobe still remained huge.
Well, in social networks, two elderly fashionistas collect a lot of positive comments addressed to them, which their grandson reads to them.
