15-year-old Ethan Evans and his 13-year-old brother Callum shaved their heads to support their grandfather. And everyone liked this idea, except for the administration of the school where the guys studied.
An elderly South Wales man, who has not been named, lost his hair due to high-dose chemotherapy before a bone marrow transplant.
His grandchildren Ethan and Callum Evans shaved their heads to support their beloved grandfather. And the boys’ mother Rachel Louise was very proud of her sons.
“I thought it was an incredibly brave act, especially at their age. And I couldn’t help but be proud of them,” she said.
It turned out that not everyone thinks so: the administration of the school where the teenagers studied was outraged by their hairstyles.
The boys were told that school uniforms and similar hairstyles made the students look the same, while the brothers’ new haircut attracted too much attention.
The story about the seriously ill grandfather did not convince the teachers. And the class teacher even asked Rachel why her sons did not wait for the holidays.
“I explained that they wanted to do it while Grandpa was in isolation and being treated, but she didn’t care. I am terrified. It seemed to me that they should be praised for their courage and wish grandfather all the best,” Rachel shares.
Rachel spoke about the situation on her Facebook page, and the post went viral with more than a thousand shares. Users supported the teenagers and called their act very brave.
