A four-year-old boy from the US state of California saved his brother from drowning and became known as a hero. According to Unilad, as a reward for his deed, he was allowed to ride a fire truck.
In early November, four-year-old Mason Ochoa from the US city of Los Angeles was relaxing at home with his parents.
In the afternoon, the boy looked out the window and noticed that his one-year-old brother Nicholas fell into the pool. Mason immediately ran out to help him.
The boy caught his brother by the hand, held his head above the water, and loudly called for help. The boys’ mother ran up to the scream and pulled Nicholas out of the water.
The woman asked her husband to call rescuers, as her son’s face was red and he was not breathing.
Arriving on the scene, the rescue service managed to save the child from suffocation. After that, doctors examined him and did not reveal any serious problems.
Local rescuers highly appreciated the act of the four-year-old Mason. They invited the boy to the fire station and let him drive the car, turn on the water hose and try on the uniform.
After this, the child was awarded a prize for heroism. The fire chief joked that he would gladly accept Mason for his job in about 14 years.
