30-year-old fitness and yoga trainer Natalie Maree and her husband Kahn have been together for 12 years.
The couple struggled with infertility for a long time. After a course of hormonal injections, Natalie managed to get pregnant. And her daughter Kian (Kiki), who is now two years old, was born.
When Natalie and Kahn decided to give birth to a brother or sister for Kian, a new course of hormones was required.
Right on New Year’s Eve, December 31, 2019, Natalie found out she was pregnant.
At seven weeks, Natalie and Kahn went for their first ultrasound. According to Natalie, her intuition told her that she had twins. But she and her husband were in for a big surprise.
“When we got to the ultrasound, I lay down and Kahn, with Kiki on his knees, sat down in a chair behind me. When the doctor started scanning my abdomen, I immediately saw two amniotic sacs on the screen and yelled, “Oh my god, we’re having twins!” But the doctor continued and at some point it seemed to me that I noticed a third bubble, but I was not sure about it.”
“A few minutes later, the doctor stopped and asked us, “How many do you think you have there?” I felt something in the tone of his voice and yelled, “Oh my God, are those triplets?” But he looked at us and silently showed four fingers. “FOUR?!? FOUR?!?!? FOUR?!?!?!?” I don’t remember how many times I shouted that number. I even grabbed the doctor’s leg on emotions and asked him: “Do I have four children inside?” And he replied: “Yes, there are four beating hearts!”. I cried, then laughed, then cried again, and so on for the next two months.”
“Kahn just almost fainted from this news. We then drove home in complete shock, just lost the power of speech.”
On July 21, 2020, healthy quadruplets were born, one boy and three girls. The first few weeks the kids spent in the hospital, and then they were discharged home.
Now, Natalie leads an Instagram dedicated to children, which already has 29 thousand followers.
Life with five kids, the oldest of which is only two years old, is very difficult. It takes her and her husband an hour and a half just to feed all four babies.
But Natalie finds time and energy to continue playing sports.
